When you select Shared Parental Leave in the Reason drop-down list, Dayforce shows the sections and settings described in the following table.

| Leave Details section | |
| Status | The employment status for the leave. Usually the status is Inactive. |
| Reason | The reason for the leave. The leave reason determines the fields and settings shown for the leave. In this case, the leave reason is Shared Parental Leave. |
| Leave for Adoption |
The leave is for adoption. |
| Start Date |
The date that the leave begins. Defaults to the current date. |
| Number of Weeks Available | The number of weeks available to take for shared leave. This number can’t exceed 50 weeks. |
| Number of Weeks Taken | The number of weeks already taken for shared leave. |
| Due Date | The date that the employee's child is expected to be born. |
| Matching Date | The date that the child is matched with the adopting parents. Only shown if the leave is for adoption. |
| Placement Date | The date the child is placed with the employee’s family. Only shown if the leave is for adoption. |
| End Date |
The date that the leave ends. |
| HR Information section | |
| Has Enough Notice |
A Yes or No value to indicate whether the employee has given enough notice for the leave request. |
| Date Relevant for Length of Service |
The date used to calculate whether the employee has enough service for the leave request. |
| Has Enough Service |
Dayforce calculates whether the employee has enough service to qualify for statutory pay for the leave and populates this field with Yes or No. |
| Date Evidence Received |
The date that the evidence for the leave request is received. |
| Evidence Valid |
A Yes or No value to indicate whether the evidence provided by the employee is valid. |
| Actual Birth Date |
The birth date of the child. |
| Override Average Weekly Pay |
The override value for the employee's average weekly pay. |
| Override Average Weekly Pay Reason |
The reason for the average weekly pay override. |
| On Payroll in the Qualifying Week | Dayforce calculates whether the employee is in an active status during the qualifying week and populates this field. |
| Average Weekly Pay |
The employee's average weekly pay, calculated by Dayforce. |
| Qualifying Week |
Dayforce calculates the qualifying week based on the due date in the leave request or, if the leave is for adoption, the matching date, and populates this field. The employee must have been employed for at least 26 weeks up to the end of the qualifying week. If the leave is for adoption, the qualifying week is the 15th week before the baby is due; if the leave is not for adoption, the qualifying week is the week of the matching date. |
| Not Entitled to ShPP Reason |
The reason why the employee doesn’t qualify for statutory pay. |
| Reference Salary for Employer Pension Contributions |
A reference salary so that Dayforce can calculate the employer's pension contributions throughout the period of the leave. |

Note: A due date must be supplied when using a surrogate. If not, then a matching date must be provided.
