In Organization Designer, you can use the search feature to find positions and business units. In the Positions screen, you can search by position number, position name, business unit name, or employee name. In Business Units, you can search by position name, business unit name, or employee name.
Click the search icon to open the search bar. Begin entering your search terms and Dayforce starts showing possible matches.
The search returns a result for each business unit or position that matches your query. For pooled positions, the search returns only one result for each position, even if there are multiple occupants. If you search by position name, position number, or business unit name, pooled positions are shown in the search results as follows:
- If the position doesn’t have any occupants, the search result indicates that it’s vacant.
- If the position has one occupant, the search result shows that person’s name.
- If the position has multiple occupants, the search result shows the first person who was assigned to the position.
