For employees based in the United Kingdom, Dayforce shows the Right to Work section in the Personal > Confidential Information screen of People:
In the Right to Work section, select one of the following options in the Active Right to Work List drop-down list to determine which documents can be provided:
- UK - Continuous Statutory Excuse
- UK - Time Limited Statutory Excuse (Until expiry date)
- UK - Time Limited Statutory Excuse (Up to 6 months)
In addition, Dayforce shows additional columns in the Identification section for UK employees:
- Use for RTW: Select the checkbox to use the identification document as support for the employee's right to work (RTW).
- RTW List: Select the right to work list in the drop-down list.
- RTW Document: Select the document in the drop-down list. The list of documents is filtered based on the selected right to work list.
- Doc Review: Select whether the document was accepted or rejected in the drop-down list.
- Reviewed By: Automatically populated with the manager's details when the document is reviewed.
- Reviewed On: Automatically populated with the date when the document is reviewed.
When you add a new RTW document in the Identification section, Dayforce automatically adds a record for the relevant associated document, if applicable. For example, when you add an Immigration Status Document with indefinite endorsements record, Dayforce automatically adds a record for the supporting letter, so that you can associate the official document that includes the employee's permanent National Insurance number and name, issued by a government agency or previous employer.
The following table describes which RTW document types trigger Dayforce to add an accompanying record, and which records are added:
Original Document | Automatically Added Document |
---|---|
Application Registration Card | Positive Verification Notice |
Birth or adoption certificate issued in the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or Ireland | Government Letter or Employment Document |
Birth or adoption certificate issued in the UK | Government Letter or Employment Document |
Certificate of Application (on or before 30 June 2021) | Positive Verification Notice |
Certificate of registration or naturalisation as a British citizen | Government Letter or Employment Document |
Current Immigration Status Document with time limited endorsements | Government Letter or Employment Document |
Immigration Status Document with indefinite endorsements | Government Letter or Employment Document |
Jersey, Guernsey or IOM document proving application for leave | Positive Verification Notice |
You can also configure RTW information in the Right To Work Document Upload form, which can be assigned to Forms in People, Home > Forms, or other areas in Dayforce where forms are shown.
