When you configure or edit a work contract and click Save, Dayforce validates the information and shows any error or warning messages in the Problems panel:
The Problems panel opens automatically if any problems exist in your work contracts configuration. You can also click Problems to open the panel.
You can configure Dayforce to ensure that changes you make to employees’ work contracts align with their schedule rule policy. To enable this functionality, go to System Admin > Client Properties and, in the Properties tab, enable the following client properties in the General section:
- Apply Schedule Rule Policy validation to Work Contract
- (Optional) Allow saving Work Contracts if schedule rules are violated
When enabled, Dayforce shows an error when you make a work contract change that violates the employee’s schedule rule policy. The Problems panel shows the following information to help you identify the issue:
- The work contract’s name.
- The work contract’s effective from date.
- The tab containing the problem (Work Patterns Details or Complementary Hours).
