Review Balance Transaction Details

To review a detailed analysis of an employee’s balance transactions:

  1. Go to People, open the employee profile, and click Work > Balances.
  2. In the Actual Balances section, click Entitlement Tracer.
  3. Dayforce opens the Entitlement Tracer slide-out panel.
  4. In the Tracer Filter section, use the settings to determine the balance you want to view. See Filter the Employee’s Balances.
  5. Click Apply Filter. Dayforce shows the Table View tab with the Employee Information and Balance Events sections.
  6. Find balance transactions and look at their details:
    1. Optionally, adjust your selections in the Tracer Filter section:
      • Select a different balance in the Balance Name drop-down list.
      • Select or clear options in the Additional Employee Information field to change some of the data that Dayforce shows in the Employee Information section.
      • Update the Time Period start and end dates to edit the balance period that’s loaded in the Balance Events section.
    2. Click Apply Filter to apply any changes.
    3. Review the employee’s balance transactions in the Table View tab:
      • If available and clickable, click Balance period initial value, Balance period end value, or Entitlement in the Source column for any transactions that were system-generated. Dayforce shows the transaction’s details in the Detailed View tab.
    4. Examine entitlement details in the Detailed View tab:
      • Select a different rule or qualifier in the Entitlement Hierarchy to view how it affected the balance transaction, when applicable.
      • Review the balance transaction’s details in the Output section.
      • Click the Show Configuration Details switch to enable or disable the configuration details sidebar.
      • Select a different record in the Entitlement Hierarchy sidebar to view its details in the configuration details sidebar.
      • With a rule or qualifier selected in the Entitlement Hierarchy sidebar, click the Hide Empty Fields switch in the configuration details sidebar to view or hide any settings that weren’t configured for the rule or qualifier.
