Users with access can grant restricted balances to employees in the Balance Access section of the Work > Balances screen in People:
In the Balance column, Dayforce shows restricted balances that you can grant to the employee.
To grant restricted balances to employees:
- Go to People, open the employee profile, and click Work > Balances.
- In the Balance Access section, select the balance to assign to the employee.
- Select the Access granted checkbox.
- If access to the balance should expire, enter a date in the Expires On field.
- (Optional) Add a comment for record purposes.
- (Optional) You can add a reason to the restricted balance that indicates to the employee why they were assigned the balance. To do this, click the arrow in the left column. The balance record expands and shows the Reasons section. Click Add, and configure the reason as follows:
- Select a reason.
- (Optional) In the Start Date field, specify a date when the reason will be associated with the balance.
- (Optional) In the End Date field, specify a date when the reason will no longer be associated with the balance.
- (Optional) Add a comment for record purposes.
- Click Save.
