- New Organization Designer user interface -
The tables below list the settings in the position panel in Organization Designer > Positions. Some of the fields aren’t always shown depending on how Dayforce is configured for your organization and the configuration of the position.
When you update an occupied position, Dayforce updates the occupying employee’s work assignment records. If Dayforce is unable to apply the position updates to the employee’s work assignments, a notification informs you that the updates weren’t successful and provides key details about the affected position and employee. The notification also includes a unique reference code. Dayforce administrators should provide this reference number to Dayforce Support to help with troubleshooting and resolving the issue.

Expected Vacancy Date |

You can also add a date to this field in the position panel. |
|
Support Overfill |
Overfill allows a second employee to occupy the position. It can be used when the position’s occupant has resigned and their replacement starts before they leave the organization. Using overfill allows for a transition period for training and knowledge transfer between the previous and new occupants. Overfill isn’t supported if an employee is already assigned to occupy the position in the future. When editing the position, you can toggle the switch on to support overfill. Positions with an overfill space available are shown in the Position drop-down list in forms. |
|
Work Assignments |
Shows the employee’s work assignments associated with the position. |
Audit Tab
The Audit tab shows a chronological list of all of the updates that have been made to the position. The tab shows who made the change, what they changed, and when they made the change.
