Org Chart Overview

The org chart provides a visual representation of the hierarchical structure of the employees in your organization. You can view the org chart directly from People by clicking Organization Chart.

Access and configuration:  

  • Role feature access:  
    • Application Container > People > Organization Chart > Display Job Assignment/Business Title of All Employees
    • Application Container > People > Organization Chart > View Public Profile
    • Application Container > TeamRelate
  • Client properties: UI Modernization > Enabled and New Dayforce Experience (in the drop-down list, select Organization Chart)

The org chart is available in two versions: the new Organization Chart user interface and the original Organization Chart user interface. You can tell which version you have by the location of the user profile panel that shows the selected employee:

  • In the original Organization Chart user interface, the panel is shown on the left side of the screen.
  • In the new Organization Chart user interface, the panel is shown on the right side of the screen.

Many of the features and tasks are the same in both versions, but the layout and steps for completing tasks might be slightly different. If you’re unsure which version you have, compare your Organization Chart screen to the example screenshots below.
