When you add a rule to the sidebar in HR Admin > Employee Data Mapping Rules, you must set the values that you want the rule to assign to employees. You can add one or more values to a single rule. In this example, the Full-Time Employees rule is set to assign employees a specific schedule rule policy, overtime group, and attendance policy:

Dayforce shows a validation error to prevent you from saving a mapping rule that has more than one of the same mapping values, except for the following mapping values, which accept multiple entries:
- Clock Devices Group
- Pay Code Group
- User Pay Code Group
- Employee Property
For example, if you add two mapping values for Average Daily Hours, Dayforce shows a validation error because employees can have only one value for average daily hours in their HR record.
