Leave Management

In the Leave Management screen in People, you can review and manage an employee's leave by adding or updating leave request records:

Access and configuration:  

  • Role feature access: Application Container > People > Employee Profile > Leave Management
  • Role authorization access: Employee Status Information and Employee Number

To add a leave request:

  1. Go to People, open the employee profile, and click Leave Management.
  2. Click Add. Dayforce adds a record, with the status and start date automatically populated with the Inactive status and the current date. If necessary, you can adjust these values.
  3. Select a reason in the Reason drop-down list. The leave request’s settings change depending on the reason selected.
  4. Complete the fields. See the country-specific topics linked below for details.
  5. Click Save.

The employee's pay group determines the settings in the Leave Management screen.
