Key Information settings
Setting Purpose
Original Hire Date The date the employee was first hired.
Most Recent Hire Date The date the employee was most recently hired. Dayforce automatically adds this date when the employee status changes.
First Date Worked

The date the employee first logged time.

Onboarding Date The date the employee gets access to Dayforce.
Last Date Worked

The date the employee last worked. An employee’s last date worked is their last active status date or terminated date.

The Last Date Worked field doesn’t affect payroll.

Seniority Date The date the employee gained seniority. For example, if they had to complete 3 months of probation after they were hired, their seniority date would be the date the probation ended.
Entitlement Override Date

The date used to determine employee eligibility for entitlements. See Set an Entitlement Override Date.

PPACA Override Date (US Only) The date used by the PPACA feature as the employee’s hire date. See PPACA Override Date.
Continuous Employment Start Date

(Shown only for employees in Australian or New Zealand pay groups.) The date that the employee starts accruing Long Service Leave (LSL). This date is read-only and is pulled from the employee’s LSL policy assignment. Dayforce calculates and populates this and other LSL dates after the Calculate Long Service Leave Entitlement background job runs.

Initial Long Service Leave Eligibility Date (Shown only for employees in Australian or New Zealand pay groups.) The date that the employee is first entitled to Long Service Leave (LSL). This field is read-only and is pulled from the employee’s LSL policy assignment. Because this reflects the first entitlement date, it extends only for periods of non-service as defined in the LSL policy before this date. After this date passes, this field permanently reflects the eligibility date. Any periods of non-service after this date only extend future LSL entitlement dates and are shown in the Current Long Service Leave Eligibility Date field.
Current Long Service Leave Eligibility Date (Shown only for employees in Australian or New Zealand pay groups.) The date when the employee is next entitled to LSL. While employees might have multiple future-calculated eligibility dates, this field reflects the next future date. For employees who haven’t reached eligibility, the date in this field matches the initial LSL eligibility date. After the employee becomes eligible, this field updates to show the next future entitlement date.
Date of Death (Shown only for employees with Terminated status.) The date the employee died.
Most Recent Termination Date The date the employee was most recently terminated. Dayforce adds this date automatically when the employee status changes.
Estimated Return Date

The date the employee is expected to return to work.

Termination Notice Date The date termination was announced.
Retirement Request Date The date the employee requested to retire.
Eligible for Rehire (Shown only for employees with Terminated status.) Indicates whether the employee is eligible to be hired again in the future.
Exit Interview Conducted (Shown only for employees with Terminated status.) Indicates that the exit interview was held.
Exit Interview By (Shown only for employees with Terminated status.) Identifies who did the exit interview.
