You can import and export WGEA report configuration data from the Pay Class, Position Term, and Job Assignment tabs in HR Admin > WGEA Report Configuration.
Importing and exporting provides an alternative to manually adding or updating values in the user interface and is especially useful when working with a large number of items.
With this functionality, you can generate an export file that acts as a template, containing all of the fields for the records you want to update. Any existing records are also included in the file so that you can update them. When you're done making updates to the file, you can import it back to Dayforce to update the system.
The name of the file depends on which tab you’re exporting data from. For example, PayClassExport.csv, PositionTermExport.csv, or JobAssignmentExport.csv.
The WGEA import doesn't allow you to add new base records to Dayforce. You can only update the WGEA values in existing records. For example, while you can't add a new job assignment, you can add an occupational category to an existing job assignment.
Records that don’t match an existing record are ignored and a warning is shown indicating that the records were ignored.
The following tables list the fields that are included in the header row of each tab's export file. The order of the fields provided is the same as in the corresponding export file. The file doesn't specify whether a field is required or optional, but this is indicated in each table.
