When the Apply Data Mapping Historically checkbox is selected, Data Mapping 2.0 functions as described in Data Mapping 2.0 Overview. However, when the Apply Data Mapping Historically checkbox is cleared, Dayforce calculates the minimum date differently. If the minimum date, based on the previous logic, results in any value other than a future date, the current date (today) is used as the minimum date. All of the other logic stays the same.
User provided data
- Status 1: 04/01/2024 (update of current status record in the database)
- Status 2: 05/01/2026 (the new record to be added in the future)
- Work Assignment 1: 04/15/2026 (new record to be added in future)
Database data for the employee
- Current status: 04/01/2024
- Current work assignment: 01/01/2024
- Current address: 04/10/2024
Therefore, the following occurs:
- If the Apply Data Mapping Historically checkbox is selected:
- Minimum date = 04/01/2024
- If the Apply Data Mapping Historically checkbox is cleared:
- Minimum date = Current date
