In HR Admin > Compliance Reporting > EEO, you can generate EEO-4 reports in an XLSX format that is compatible with the online filing system of the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

State and local governments with 100 or more employees have a mandatory legal obligation to submit EEO-4 reports every other year. EEO-4 reports contain the following workforce demographic data:
- Race
- Ethnicity
- Gender
- Job category
- Job function
- Annual salary

Important: Employers are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the data that is provided to the EEOC. As such, you are encouraged to exercise due diligence and to review the data in the report that you submit. If errors or discrepancies are discovered, revisions might be necessary.
The process for generating EEO-4 reports is as follows:
- Assign the EEO-4 role feature. See Assign Role Features for EEO-4 Filing Reports.
- Check that prerequisites are in place for data included in the reports. See EEO-4 Filing Prerequisites.
- Configure EEO-4 filing templates for your organization. See Configure EEO-4 Filing Templates.
- Review a summary of the report data, including validations for missing information. This includes the ability to export files containing a list of employees who are missing data. See Review Filing Summary and Validation Messages.
