Disability (Germany)

For employees in Germany, Dayforce can track employee disability data to support annual government reporting obligations.

Before You Begin: This feature is available only for German pay groups.

Access and configuration:  

  • Role feature access:  Application Container > People > Employee Profile > Personal > Confidential Information > Disability
  • Role authorization access: Employee Profile - Confidential Information - Disability (Can Read, Can Write)

You can add and manage employee disability information in the Disability section of the Personal > Confidential Information screen of an employee's HR record in People:

Disability section within Personal > Confidential Information screen.

Select Yes in the Disabled drop-down list in the General section of the Confidential Information screen to add the Disability section to the screen.

To enter details of an employee's disability:

  1. Go to People, open the employee profile, and click Personal > Confidential Information.
  2. In the Disabled drop-down list, select Yes. Dayforce adds the Disability section to the screen.
  3. Click Add to add a disability record.
  4. Complete the fields.
  5. Click Save.

General
Effective From The disability record's effective dates.
Effective To
Working Time

The normal weekly working hours of the employee. Options are:

  • 18 hours (or more) per week
  • Less than 18 hours per week (employment agency approval)
  • Less than 18 hours per week (partial retirement)
  • Less than 18 hours per week (without admission / other)
Group

The group the employee belongs to. These groups detail the mandatory jobs that the employee counts toward and the reason for the categorization. Options are:

  • Equal apprentice / trainee “Follow-up credit” (2 job credits)
  • Equal apprentice / trainee (2 job credits)
  • Equal apprentice / trainee (3 job credits)
  • Equal disabled person (1 job credit)
  • Equal disabled person (2 job credits)
  • Equal disabled person (3 job credits)
  • Holder of miners' supply certificate (1 job credit)
  • Rehab facility trainee - Section 51, SGB IX (2 job credits)
  • Severely disabled apprentice / trainee (2 job credits)
  • Severely disabled apprentice / trainee (3 job credits)
  • Severely disabled apprentice / trainee follow up (2 job credits)
  • Severely disabled employer (1 job credit)
  • Severely disabled person (1 job credit)
  • Severely disabled person (2 job credits)
  • Severely disabled person (3 job credits)
  • Severely disabled person (4 job credits)
  • Severely disabled person (5 job credits)
  • WfbM employee in transitional measure (1 job credit)
Evidence
Evidence Type The document submitted to support the employee's disability status.
Reference Number The number associated with the document that supports the employee's disability status.
Issuing Country The country granting the disability status.
Issuing Agency

The agency or organization that issued the status. Select from the following options:

  • Central office for the miner's supply certificate
  • Employment office / employment agency
  • Office for (family and) social affairs
  • Other / Section 152 Paragraph 2 SGB IX
  • Pension Office
  • Section 51 SGB IX Establishment
  • Workshop for disabled people
Issuing Agency Location The location of the issuing agency. This field is only required if it's included on the employee's disability card.
Valid From The date the supporting document is valid from.
Expiry Date The date the supporting document expires, if applicable.
Add Supporting Document Upload a copy of the supporting document.
