To define a 9/80 split time:
- Go to People, open the employee profile, and click Employment > Employee Properties.
- Click Add.
- In the Property drop-down list, click 9/80 Split Time.
- (Optional) In the Description field, enter a description of the property.
- Enter the date that the 9/80 split time starts applying in the Effective From field, or click the calendar icon and select the date from the calendar.
- (Optional) Enter a date in the Effective To field, or click the calendar icon and select the date from the calendar. Leave this field blank and the property doesn’t expire.
- In the Value field, enter the time that Dayforce uses to split the workday, or click the clock icon and select a time in the drop-down list. For example, enter 1:00 PM and Dayforce splits the workday at 1:00 PM. Any hours worked after 1:00 PM on the last day of the first week carry over to the first day of the second week.
- Click Save.
Note: Values for the 9/80 Split Time additional property can also be supplied through the HR Import or through data mapping rules defined in HR Admin > Employee Data Mapping Rules.
