The editable version of the data mapping dialog box allows you to edit, apply, or ignore suggested mapping updates. The different sections show the dates that the values assigned by the mapping rule come into effect.
Role feature access: Application Container > People > Employee Profile > Data Mapping Confirmation Dialog
If your role has access to both the editable and non-editable version of the dialog box, only the editable version is shown.
Dayforce shows each current value (if defined) and the corresponding value suggested by mapping rules. The different sections show the dates the values assigned by the mapping rule come into effect.
You can select the option in the Current Value column to ignore its mapping value. You can also update the values in the Suggested Value column to override the suggestions. By default, the Apply all changes for period checkbox is selected, meaning that all of the suggested values for the period are applied. However, if you don’t want to apply all of the suggestions for a specific period, you can clear the Apply all changes for period checkbox. When you clear this checkbox, the suggestions aren’t applied and all of the current values are kept for that period.
The Changes Effective Immediately section shows the values that will be applied as of the current date. The Changes Effective On <date> sections show the values that will be applied as of the date specified for the section. In the preceding example, there is only one Changes Effective On section, for 1/4/2016.
If you click Cancel, Dayforce closes the dialog box and returns to the unsaved edit in People.
If you select Current Value for any of the suggested values, Dayforce leaves doesn’t apply the suggested mapping values and leave the current values intact. However, the other suggested mapping values are applied when you click Save.
