The VETS-4212 Filing Report includes data about employees in your organization's hiring locations. Hiring locations, for the purpose of VETS-4212 reporting, align to site-level org units. Org level for org units is defined in the Org Level drop-down list, in the Properties tab of Org Setup > Organization > Organization. Org units with other levels such as Corporate aren't included as hiring locations.
In the Organization tab of Org Setup > Organization, sites have the additional tab Compliance Properties, which contains settings specific to EEO-1 and VETS-4212 reporting.
The following list describes how these fields are used for VETS-4212 reporting:
- Establishment Number: Defines the number of the site. You can specify the same number for all of the sites that you want combined as a single hiring location. This allows them to be reported as a single line item in the VETS-4212 Filing Report with combined employee totals. See Define a Hiring Location for Multiple Sites.
- Establishment Name: Primarily used for EEO-1 reporting. However, if the Hiring Location Name field below isn’t defined, Dayforce uses the value defined in the Establishment Name field in the VETS-4212 Filing Report.
- Hiring Location: The hiring location name that is shown for the site in the VETS-4212 Filing Report.
- NAICS Code: The North American Industry Classification System code for the site. Dayforce also allows you to add a NAICS code to templates in the VETS-4212 Filing screen. If you define it at the template level, it’s used for any site that doesn't have the code defined at the site level.
In addition to compliance properties, you should make sure that the sites have full address information in the Address tab of Org Setup > Organization > Organization.
Dayforce informs you of missing site information when you generate the VETS-4212 Filing Report in the VETS-4212 Filing screen.
