Configure Escalation for HR Incident Types

To configure HR incident types for escalation, you must do the following:

  • Add the HR incident type to a group in the HR Incident Groups tab in HR Admin > HR Incidents and select the Requires Escalation checkbox for the group.
  • Assign the HR Incident Escalation notification in System Admin > System Notifications to the user roles that should be notified about the incidents with this incident type. See Configure Notification Subscriptions by User Role in the Dayforce Implementation Guide.

When you select Requires Escalation for an HR incident group, you enable escalation for every HR incident type in the group and, subsequently, for every incident created using that incident type.

You can use this functionality to track incident types by severity, distinguishing warnings that can result in a warning letter from severe incidents that require escalation and can result in dismissal. In this case, you'd create two groups and configure the severe group to require escalation.
