By default, Dayforce automatically updates an employee’s most recent hire date when the employment status record is updated and the employee’s most recent termination record is followed by an active record. This is true whether the status is updated by HR Import, self-service forms, or manually in the Employment Status tab of the Employment > Employment Settings screen in People.
To disable this behavior, select the Disable auto update of Most Recent Hire date checkbox in the General section of the Properties tab of System Admin > Client Properties.
