To assign an employee to a vacation bidding group:
- Go to People, open the employee profile, and click Work > Vacation Bidding Group.
- Click Add.
- In the Vacation Bidding Group drop-down list, select a vacation bidding group.
- In the Effective From field, enter the date in which the vacation bidding group assignment becomes active, or click the calendar icon and select a date.
- Note: If the employee has an active, existing vacation bidding group assignment with no effective end date, Dayforce automatically assigns an effective end date to the existing assignment after you add a new active group assignment. For example, if you add a new vacation bidding group assignment that begins on July 24, Dayforce automatically populates the existing assignment’s Effective To field with the day before the new assignment becomes active (July 23).
- (Optional) In the Effective To field, enter the date in which the vacation bidding group assignment ends, or click the calendar icon and select a date.
- Click Save.
You can add as many vacation bidding group assignments as necessary, but employees can only have a single active vacation bidding group assignment at any given time. To switch between an employee’s active assignment and all of their assignments, click the Active/All button.
