You can control whether Dayforce applies data mapping rules to historical data by selecting or clearing the Apply Data Mapping Historically checkbox in HR Admin > Employee Data Mapping Rules:
Important: If you select the Apply Data Mapping Historically checkbox, Dayforce can qualify and update values from the beginning of an employee's record. Retroactive payments and changes to previously submitted timesheet information might occur.
When you select the Apply Data Mapping Historically checkbox, Data Mapping 2.0 works as described in Data Mapping 2.0 Overview. When you clear the Apply Data Mapping Historically checkbox, Dayforce determines the effective date of the qualifying record differently, as described in Example: Apply Data Mapping Historically. If the effective date is any value other than a future date, Dayforce uses the current date as the effective date.
You can’t set this functionality at the rule level.
