The My Team widget gives managers a high-level overview of their employees. The widget shows a manager’s direct reports, and highlights key updates for employees with pending actions, upcoming TAFW, a work anniversary, or birthday in the yellow-highlighted portion of the widget. The My Team widget shows employee’s preferred pronouns, if specified, and gives quick access to the employee profile card.
Note: Dayforce shows a maximum of 200 employee profiles in the Key updates yellow section, and a maximum of 200 profiles in the white section for employees with no updates. The widget provides a link to Message Center for employees with key updates and a link to the People List for employees with no updates.
The My Team widget needs managers to have direct reports and role feature access to People in Application Container in the Features tab of System Admin > Roles. If a manager has two roles, for example, an employee role and a manager role, if their employee role also has access to the People feature, they’ll see My Team in their employee role. Some of the widget functionality might not work under their employee role (depending on configuration), but Dayforce shows the widget itself and its contents. This scenario assumes that a single hub exists for both employee and manager roles which contains different information for both audiences.
The following details are included in the My Team widget in Experience Hub:
- View Hierarchy: View the organization hierarchy.
- Actions: Select forms related to new employees, for example, New Hire and Rehire, in the drop-down list menu. This way managers can conveniently access the forms.
- Employee avatar: Click anywhere surrounding an avatar to view a summary of an employee's profile information in their employee card.
- Message Center link: If the widget is smaller, and can’t show all of the employees with key updates, Dayforce includes a link to Message Center to view additional key updates.
- People List link: If the widget is smaller, and can’t show all employees with no updates, Dayforce includes a link to the People List.
The following details are included in the My Team configuration dialog box in Hub Designer:
- Title: The default title is My Team, but you can change it.
- Visibility: Visibility is web only.
- Birthday: Shows the countdown for employees birthdays starting at seven days before the birthday date. Uses the format: “Birthday is coming in X days,” “Birthday starts tomorrow,” “Birthday Today”.
- Pending Actions: Selected by default, but you can clear the checkbox.
- Preferred pronoun: Shows the employee’s preferred pronouns, if specified. Requires the Allow employees to identify their pronouns client property to be configured.
- Time Away from Work: Selected by default, but you can clear the checkbox.
- Work anniversary: Selected by default, but you can clear the checkbox.
- Sample team and data: When you preview the widget, Dayforce shows a sample team for viewing purposes only. Additionally, the View Hierarchy and Actions links don’t work.
- Note: Employee data that Dayforce shows in Hub Designer is sample data, to give you an idea of what the finished widget looks like.
