Pronouns Updates

Pronouns are a word by which an individual wants to be referred to in order to indicate their gender identity. Examples include, “He, She, They, Them, and Xhe.” Dayforce has been able to capture employee pronoun information for a few years.

For information about enabling pronoun functionality, see Allow Employees to Add Their Pronouns in the HR Administration Guide.

For information about administering pronouns, see Create Pronoun Options in the HR Administration Guide.

Pronouns Functionality

When pronoun functionality is enabled, it can be accessed in the following areas of Dayforce:

Profile

Employees can edit their pronouns in the header of their Profile screen (not to be confused with the employee profile in People that only managers and administrators can access):

The Share my pronouns option and its edit button.

Clicking the edit icon opens the Share my pronouns dialog box:

The Share my pronouns dialog box.

After they’re edited, the pronouns specified here are shown throughout Dayforce.
