Enhanced Employee Gender Guide

Version
R2025.1.0
Forms

Any system forms that previously included the Gender field now show the Assigned Sex field in a new Gender section:

New Hire form showing Gender section.

Using the Gender section, organizations can collect gender and gender identity information for employees based on the organization's needs and the gender requirements for each country that the organization operates in.

The options available in the Gender section depend on how each country is configured in HR Admin > Employee Gender Admin > Gender. For example, if the Collect Assigned Sex Information checkbox is cleared for Canada in HR Admin > Employee Gender Admin > Gender, and the user selects Canada in the form, the Assigned Sex field in the form is unavailable for editing.

The Gender section is shown in the following system forms:

  • New Hire
  • New Hire (Position Management)
  • New Hire with Contract
  • New Hire with Contract (Position Management)
  • Rehire
  • Rehire (Position Management)
  • Rehire with Contract
  • Rehire with Contract (Position Management)
  • Confidential Information (CAN)
  • Confidential Information (USA)

After a form is submitted and approved, Dayforce populates the Gender section in the Personal > Confidential Information screen in People with the data from the form's Gender section.
