Assign Access to Enhanced Employee Gender

You configure and administer gender data in HR Admin > Employee Gender Admin > Gender:

You can also manage enhanced employee gender for employees in People, in the Gender section of the Personal > Confidential Information screen.

Before You Begin: If you already had the HR Admin > Gender Identity feature assigned, it’s updated automatically to the new Enhanced Employee Gender feature: HR Admin > Employee Gender Admin.

To assign the access required for configuring enhanced employee gender:

  1. Go to System Admin > Roles and click the Features tab.
  2. Select the role that you want to update.
  3. In the feature tree, select the checkboxes for the applicable features. See Features for Enhanced Employee Gender.
  4. Click the Authorizations tab and select the Employee Profile - Confidential Information - Gender authorization.
  5. Select one or all of the following checkboxes, depending on how much access you want to assign to the selected role:
    • Can Create: Users can add new information.
    • Can Read: Users can view the existing information (with read-only access if Can Update isn’t selected).
    • Can Update: Users can edit the existing information.
    • Can Delete: Users can delete the existing information.
  6. Click Save.

Features for Enhanced Employee Gender

HR Admin: Enables the HR Admin feature.

  • HR Admin: Enables the HR Admin feature.
    • Employee Gender Admin: Enables HR Admin > Employee Gender Admin.
      • Gender: Enables the Gender screen where you can configure assigned sex and gender identity values for the organization.
        • Migration Log Data: Enables the migration log shown in the banner of HR Admin > Employee Gender Admin > Gender after the gender migration. You can review this log to learn whether the automatic gender migration was successful.
  • Application Container: Enables the top container for various application-wide functionality.
    • People: Enables the People feature, which provides a centralized access point for data about your employees.
      • Employee Profile: This feature must be enabled so that users can access the sidebar in employee profiles.
        • Personal: Enables the Personal section. You must enable this feature if you want to enable its subfeatures.
          • Confidential Information: Enables the Confidential Information screen.
            • Gender: Enables the Gender section in the Confidential Information screen.
