Before You Begin: To use the Race / Ethnicity key segment, you must configure Dayforce to record and display this information. Assign the Employee Profile - Confidential Information - Ethnicity access authorization and enable the Application Container > People > Employee Profile > Confidential Information > Ethnicity role feature for the appropriate user roles.
There are system defined key segments available in Dayforce by default. You cannot customize these key segments or edit their criteria. The criteria for some key segments are generated based on information configured in other parts of Dayforce, such as HR Admin.
You can edit the name of the system key segments and configure whether they’re visible in the drop-down list in the Analysis tab of surveys:
- Go to Engagement Setup >Results Setup and click the Key Segments tab.
- Enter a name for the key segment in the Name field.
- The comparison code that identifies the key segment is displayed in the Comparison Code field.
- Note: The comparison code is a unique identifier that is automatically generated by Dayforce when the key segment Name is created. If necessary, you can update this value.
- Important: If the key segment has been previously included in a survey, there might already be survey data associated with it. If you edit the key segment information, this data continues to be associated with the key segment and will impact your future comparisons. Depending on the changes you make the same key segment might show different data, or you might break the link for expected comparisons across surveys.
- Select the Active checkbox to make the key segment visible in the drop-down list in the Analysis tab of surveys in the Engagement feature.
- To remove the key segment from the drop-down list, clear the checkbox.
- Click Save.
