In the Key Segments tab of Engagement Setup > Results Setup, you can enable or disable system key segments, which you can use to view survey results broken down by those segments.
You can configure whether a system key segment is displayed on surveys in Dayforce by selecting or clearing the Active checkbox on the key segment.
Note: Only one key segment per type can be active at any time.
Key segments are displayed in the Key Segment drop-down list in the Analysis tab of survey results displayed in the Engagement feature. See Review the Survey Analysis.
Important: The key segments that are active at the time you publish a survey will be used in that survey. You cannot change the configuration of the key segments for a survey once the survey has been published. Any changes will apply to future surveys.
To add a custom key segment:
- Go to the Key Segments tab in Engagement Setup > Results Setup.
- Click Add.
- In the Name field, enter a name for the key segment.
- Dayforce generates the comparison code that identifies the key segment in the Comparison Code field.
- Important: This field is automatically generated and cannot be edited until you save the key segment. When you are editing a key segment, the Comparison Code field isn’t automatically updated if you change the Name field. The value in this field must be unique.
- Select the type of key segment in the Type field. The type of key segment determines the settings displayed in the Criteria section below.
- Note: Only one key segment per type can be active at any time.
- Select the Active checkbox to make the key segment visible in the drop-down list in Engagement > Analysis for future surveys.
- To remove the key segment from the drop-down list, clear the checkbox.
- Click Save.
You can localize key segments, if necessary. See Localize Key Segments.
