Configure Notifications for Surveys

In the Notifications tab, you configure the invitation message that is sent to all participants when the survey is launched, and schedule and send reminders to participants that haven’t completed the survey. Notifications are sent to participants in Message Center, as well as to their email or push notifications, if these notifications are enabled.

You must ensure that employees are configured to receive notifications. Users can view and update their notification preferences in the Settings > Notifications sub-tab in Profile.

To configure the invitation in the Invitation section:

  1. Go to Engagement SetupSurveysSystem Notifications.
  2. Enter the subject of the invitation message in the Subject field.
  3. Enter the invitation message in the Message field.
  4. You can apply formatting to the message using the icons in the formatting bar. Apply bolding, italics, or add a link. You must include a {LINK} token in the message to insert a clickable link required for each participant to access the survey. The {LINK} token will be replaced with a button that says Take the Survey:

  6. Dayforce displays a preview of your message with formatting applied when you finish and click outside the text box.

You can localize the survey invitation, if necessary. See Localize the Survey Invitation.

To schedule reminders for participants in the Reminders section:

  1. Click Add.
  2. Enter the subject of the reminder message in the Subject field.
  3. Enter the reminder message in the Message field.
  4. You can apply formatting to the message using the icons on the formatting bar. Apply bolding, italics, or add a link.
  5. Note: Include a {LINK} token in the message to insert a clickable link to the survey.
  6. Dayforce displays a preview of your message with formatting applied when you finish and click outside the text box.
  7. Configure the reminder date using the Send Reminder Date drop-down list and control.
  8. Select the relative date in the drop-down list:
    • No. of days after start
    • No. of days before end
  9. Enter the number of days in the field, or use the arrow controls to increase and decrease the number of days.
  10. Note: Only participants that haven’t completed the survey will receive reminder messages.

Important: Add all of the reminders you want to send throughout the duration of the survey. After the survey has been published, you cannot configure additional reminder notifications.

To copy or delete a reminder message, click the Copy or Delete buttons.
