In the Notifications tab, you configure the invitation message that is sent to all participants when the survey is launched, and schedule and send reminders to participants who haven’t completed the survey. Reminder notifications are sent only to participants who haven’t completed the survey yet.
Notifications are sent to participants in Message Center and to their email or push notifications, if enabled.
Before You Begin: Configure the necessary notification subscriptions for survey participants. See Assign System Notifications for Engagement.
To configure survey notifications:
- Go to Engagement Setup > Surveys.
- Open a draft survey or create a new survey, and then click the Notifications tab.
- In the Invitation section, enter the subject and the message for the survey invitation. Make sure to include the
{LINK}token in the message. This token inserts the Take The Survey button, which participants use to access the survey. - Note: If you configured the survey to collect respondent names, the Message field includes a default disclaimer, which you can update, as needed. See Configure Data Anonymity for Surveys.
- If you want to schedule reminders for participants, do the following in the Reminders section:
- Click Add.
- Enter the subject and the message for the survey reminder. Optionally, include the {LINK} token in the message to insert the Take the Survey button. No other tokens are currently supported for these notifications.
- Configure the Send Reminder Date options to specify when to send the reminder to participants.
- Add any additional reminders that you need for the survey period.
- Click Save.
