Work > Timesheet provides you with a timesheet grid where you can record how many hours you worked, along with any associated dockets, projects, and pay codes. In the timesheet, Dayforce shows each pay segment in its own row:

Note: Depending on how Dayforce is configured, you might also have access to a more detailed version of your timesheet in the Employee Timesheet feature. See Employee Timesheet.

Dayforce shows the following icons in Work > Timesheet:

Timesheet icons
Icon Description
Error icon. Problem shift.
Employee authorization icon. Employee-authorized shift.
Manager authorization icon. Manager-authorized shift.
Employee and manager authorization icon. Employee- and manager-authorized shift.
Business day alignment icon. Shift crosses into the next business day.
Manager comment icon.

The manager recorded a comment for the shift.

Note: When managers view an employee’s timesheet in Time Review, Dayforce shows this icon for employee comments.

Auto-inject icon. A meal or break was automatically injected according to the rules specified in the employee’s time entry policy.
Link to schedule icon. The shift’s details are derived from and linked to the employee’s schedule.
Time-based pay adjustment icon. Time-based pay adjustment.
Amount-based pay adjustment icon. Amount-based pay adjustment.
Employee waived meal icon. Employee waived meal icon with the number 1 to indicate they waived their first meal. Employee waived meal icon with the number 2 to indicate they waived their second meal. The employee waived their scheduled meal or break.
Manager waived meal icon. Manager waived meal icon with the number 1 to indicate they waived the employee's first meal. Manager waived meal icon with the number 2 to indicate they waived the employee's second meal. The manager waived the employee’s scheduled meal or break.
Icon indicating that both the employee and manager waived a meal. Icon indicating that both the employee and manager waived the first meal. Icon indicating that both the employee and manager waived the second meal. Both the employee and manager waived the employee’s scheduled meal or break.
Employee attestation icon. The employee reported a missed break.
Manager attestation icon. The manager reported a missed break on behalf of an employee.
Employee and manager attestation icon. Both the employee and manager reported a missed break.
Unconfirmed shift icon. Unconfirmed shift.
Confirmed shift icon. Confirmed shift.
Shift notification sent icon. An SMS message was sent to this employee, notifying them of this call-in shift.
Logged time icon. The employee has logged time against the call-in shift.

The calendar icon next to the date in the timesheet changes depending on whether you have permissions to edit the shift. Dayforce shows the following icons on the timesheet in the Date column:

Modifiable day icon. This day can be modified.
Unmodifiable day icon. This day can’t be modified (for example, the day is in the future and the user doesn’t have the authorization to create future time entries, or the day might occur before the employee’s hire date).
Locked pay period icon. Locked pay period.
Transmitted pay period icon. Transmitted pay period.
Locked and transmitted pay period icon. Locked and transmitted pay period.
Transmitted pay period on holiday icon. Transmitted pay period and a holiday.
Pay period locked on holiday icon. Locked pay period and a holiday.
Locked and transmitted pay period on holiday icon. Locked and transmitted pay period and a holiday.

If a shift is auto paid, Dayforce shows the calendar icon in green. When you hover the cursor over it, a “Paid to Schedule” tooltip appears.

Note: Depending on how Dayforce is configured, you might not be able to perform some of these actions, or access some of the views. Contact your manager or your Dayforce administrator.
