In Profile, in the Personal > About Me screen, you can view and update your contact details, such as your home and mailing addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. Keeping this information accurate ensures that your organization can reach you when needed and that your employee information stays up to date.
Depending on your organization’s configuration, address changes might have to go through an approval process before they’re applied to your profile. In this case, you see the label Pending approval after you submit changes until they’re approved.
If you have a payroll mailing address, Dayforce shows it when you hover over the envelope icon next to Primary Residence.

The following steps apply to updating your address in the Profile feature directly. Depending on your organization’s Dayforce configuration, the Address form might open when you click the add icon. In that case, enter the address details in the form and click Submit. Changes submitted through a form usually must be approved before they’re applied to your profile.
To add an address:
- Go to Profile.
- In the Personal > About me screen, click the add icon in the Addresses section:

- In the drop-down list, select the type of address you want to add.
- If your new address is to be effective as of a future date, enter that date in the Start date field.
- Enter your address details.
- (Optional) Select Use as payroll mailing address if you want to assign the address as your mailing address for payroll. You can assign only one address as your payroll mailing address.
- (Optional) Select Display on tax statement to have this address included on your tax statements. You can assign only one address for your tax statements.
- After entering all of the information for the address, click Save changes.
The steps below apply to updating your address in the Profile feature user interface. Changes submitted through a form usually have to be approved before they’re applied to your profile.
You can delete secondary and mailing addresses. Primary addresses can be updated but not deleted.
To edit or delete an address:
- Go to Profile.
- In the Personal > About me screen, click the edit icon in the Addresses section.
- In the drop-down list, select the type of address that you want to edit:

- Enter the new address details or click the delete icon to remove the address, and click Save changes.
To add a phone number, email address, or online profile:
- Go to Profile.
- In the Personal > About me screen, click the edit icon in the Contact information section.
- In the Edit contact information panel, scroll down to the type of contact information you want to add: phone number, email address, or online profile.
- Under the section for the type of contact information you want to add, click the link: Add additional number, Add additional email, or Add additional profile.
- Select the type and enter the details for the new contact information.
- (Optional) For phone numbers and email addresses, toggle the Alerts switch to on to receive alerts. With alerts enabled, you receive Dayforce notifications to that phone number or email address when they’re sent using that method. Email addresses must be verified to receive notifications.
- (Optional) If you have a privately listed phone number, select the Unlisted checkbox.
- Click Save changes.
Dayforce sends notifications only to verified email addresses. This requirement applies to both system notifications and password reset emails.
When you add a new email address, you can use the Alerts switch to specify whether you want to receive Dayforce notifications at that address. When you enable alerts for an email address, Dayforce sends a verification email to confirm that the address is valid. Follow the instructions in the email and use the link provided to complete the verification.
If you don’t verify your email address before the link expires, or if you don’t receive the email, you can return to the screen and click Resend verification email to try again.
To delete a phone number, email address, or online profile:
- Go to Profile and open the Personal > About me screen.
- In the Contact information section, click the edit icon.
- Find the record that you want to delete, and click the delete icon next to it.
- Click Save changes.
