You can update the progress for any goal that was created by you, or that was assigned to you by your manager/administrator. Your manager/administrators can also update the progress for your goals. Each time someone updates progress on your goal, the activity is logged in the Conversation section of the slide-out panel.
To update a goal's progress:
- Go to Performance > Goals and click the My Goals tab.
- In the status section of the goal panel, do one of the following:
- If the goal has the Percentage measure type, move the dial to a different percentage. Alternatively, you can enter a specific percentage (including up to two decimal places) in the text box beside the dial.
- You can also type a percentage in the text box that exceeds 100% (that is, for when a user is over target). In this case, the maximum allowable amount you can enter is 999.99.
- If the goal has the Actual/Target measure type, move the dial to adjust the actual completed value. Alternatively, you can enter a specific actual completed value in the text box beside the dial.
- If the goal has the None measure type, select Not Started, In Progress or Completed from the Status drop-down list.
- Click outside of the panel. The application refreshes the goal panel with the new progress, and displays a new activity record when you click Show Goal Updates in the Conversations slide-out panel.
Note: Goal status is set to Not Started by default. This status doesn't change until you manually record progress on the goal, even if the start date of the goal has passed.
