Take Actions for Development Plans in Performance

In the Performance feature, you can take several different actions for existing development plans in a review form.

To take action for a development plan in Performance:

  1. Go to Performance and open the Reviews tab.
  2. Click the name of the review to open the review form.
  3. In the Development Plan section, do the following depending on the action that you want to take:
    • For plans that were created outside of the review form, rate or enter comments, as needed.
    • For plans that were created within the review form, click the action icon, and select Edit to open the plan details and take one or more actions.

      Edit plan details

      Click Edit details, update the plan details, and then click Save or Verify and save, depending on which button is displayed.

      Delete plans

      Click Delete plan, and then click Yes.

      Add activities

      See Add Activities to Development Plans in Performance.

      Edit activities

      Do one of the following:

      • Click the activity card to view the activity details, and then click Edit.
      • Click the action icon () on the activity card, and then click Edit.

      Update the activity, and then click Save.

      Delete activities

      Do one of the following:

      • Click the activity card to view the activity details, and then click Delete.
      • Click the action icon () on the activity card, and then click Delete.

      Click Yes to confirm the deletion. If there was a course or learning plan assigned to the activity, the associated course enrollment is also deleted in the Learning feature.

      Update progress

      Do one of the following:

      • If there are no activities assigned, click Edit details, and then update the value in the Overall progress % field.
      • If there are activities assigned, click an activity card to view the activity details, click Edit, and then update the value in the Progress % field.

      Click Save. For published plans, the progress change is reflected immediately in the plan details. For draft plans, the progress is saved but the change isn't reflected in the plan details until the plan is published.

      Note: For development plans with activities, overall progress is calculated based on activity progress. Each activity carries the same weight towards the plan's overall progress percentage.

      Publish plans

      (for draft plans only)

      Click Publish plan.

      If there was any progress saved for the plan in draft form, it's automatically reflected in the status and plan details when you publish.
