Dayforce can track when you sign off on the recorded time and details of your timesheet. By signing off on your timesheet, you’re agreeing that it’s accurate. If Dayforce is configured to track your sign-off, it shows checkmark and X icons and a comment field:
Note that if you click the checkmark icon and save your changes, Dayforce grays out the sign-off options and comment field. After you save your changes, you can’t update your selection or enter a comment. Make sure to click the checkmark icon and, optionally, enter any comments and then click Save only when you’re sure that your data and comments are ready for approval.
To sign off on your timesheet:
- Go to Employee Timesheet and load a week.
- To sign off on the week, click the checkmark. If you disagree with the details on your timesheet, click X.
- Enter any comments that you want your supervisor or manager to see.
- Click Save.
Dayforce adds another icon next to the selectable icons to note which sign-off option you selected. If you clicked the checkmark icon, the system shows another checkmark icon and grays out the all of the sign-off settings:
If you clicked the X icon, Dayforce adds a message indicating that the period hasn’t been authorized and adds another X icon next to the selectable icons:
After you do this, you can still make changes to your timesheet and sign off on those changes. When you re-click the selectable X icon, Dayforce makes both the checkmark and X icons available again:
Adjust your timesheet as needed, and click the checkmark icon when you’re satisfied with your changes.
