Refresh the Bidding Calendar View

You can refresh the Bidding Calendar View in Work > Calendar to show new pending bids that were made by other employees in your vacation bidding group, when applicable. Refreshing is useful during concurrent bidding sessions when all of the employees in your vacation bidding group can bid for time away at the same time. By refreshing the calendar, you can get the latest bidding information that’s available. With this information, you can see which dates other employees have bid on (if available) and determine the likelihood that you’ll win your bids based on vacation slot availability and your rank in the bidding order.

Note: Depending on your Dayforce configuration, you might not be able to view pending bids that were made by other employees in your vacation bidding group. See View Other Employees’ Pending Bids.

To get the latest bidding information available during an active submission round:

  1. Go to Work > Calendar.
  2. In the top-left corner of the screen, select Bidding Calendar in the view drop-down list.
  3. In the calendar, load a period that contains an active vacation bidding session.
  4. Click a date. Dayforce shows a menu containing options.
  5. Click Refresh. Dayforce refreshes the view and updates the number of available vacation slots on the calendar cells, when applicable.
