- New Profile user interface -
When Dayforce has information to share with you, it checks your notification preferences and sends the information to you in your preferred format. You can configure how you receive notifications in the Settings > Notifications screen in Profile.
Dayforce can send notifications in the following ways:
- A message delivered to your inbox in Message Center.
- An email sent to your email address.
- A text message sent to your cell phone by SMS.
- A mobile push notification (provided your device is configured to receive mobile push notifications).
The notification settings that you can configure are shown with a selectable checkbox. Some notification types have fixed delivery methods, and their settings are read-only. Others aren’t available through some channels, so a dash is shown in the column for that notification type.
Access and configuration: Dayforce administrators configure which delivery methods are available for some types of notifications in System Admin > System Notifications. See System Notifications Configuration in the Dayforce Implementation Guide.
To configure your notification preferences:
Role feature access: Profile > Profile Menu > Settings > Notifications
- Go to Profile and open the Settings > Notifications screen.
- For each notification type, select or clear the Message Center, Email, Text message, and Push to mobile checkboxes.
- Click Save. If information is missing from your profile, you see a message explaining the issue.
Dayforce sends SMS messages and emails only to phone numbers and email addresses that have alerts enabled. To start or stop receiving SMS or email notifications to a phone number or email address:
- Go to Profile and open the Personal > About Me screen.
- In the Contact Information section, click the edit icon.
- Under the phone number or email address, click the Alerts switch.
To stop receiving SMS messages from Dayforce, reply "STOP" to a message. When you send the reply, the Alerts switch is deactivated for that phone number in Profile. If you have other phone numbers in your Dayforce account, Dayforce continues to send SMS messages to the other numbers until you either deactivate alerts using the switch or reply "STOP" from those numbers.
