Complete Learning Activities for Development Plans

Learning activities (courses or learning plans) that are assigned to development plans can be completed from the activity card for the plan.

Before You Begin: The following process doesn't apply to external courses, which must be completed outside of Dayforce. For these courses, the Take course button (described below) isn't shown, but you can still enter progress in the Progress % field, and then click Save. After you complete an external course, a manager or administrator must manually mark the course as completed in your HR record, even if you've already marked the activity as completed in your development plan.

To complete a learning activity for a plan:

  1. Find the plan that you want to complete the activity for, and then click the card to view the plan details.
  2. Click the activity card with the assigned course or learning plan.
  3. Click Take course. A window opens in which you can complete the assigned course or learning plan.
  4. When you're finished, enter your progress in the Progress % field, and then click Save.

If you prefer, you can complete your learning assignments directly in the Learning or Dayforce Learning feature (depending on which feature your organization uses) before updating the activity’s progress in the development plan details.
