Attest Missed Breaks

Depending on how Dayforce is configured, you can attest (that is, report) missed breaks in Work > Timesheet.

Note: Depending on how break attestation is configured, you might not have the ability to attest breaks. In this scenario, your manager would report missed breaks on your behalf.

To attest a missed break, click the applicable timesheet row and select Employee Missed Break in the drop-down list:

Dayforce marks the timesheet row with the employee attestation icon ():

After you select Employee Missed Break and the icon appears on the shift, you can remove the attestation by opening the drop-down list and selecting Remove Missed Break.

Manager and Employee Attestation

Depending on how break attestation is configured, you and your manager might need to attest missed breaks.

To attest a missed break that your manager already attested:

  1. Locate the timesheet row for the shift that the manager attested. Dayforce marks the timesheet row with the manager attestation icon ():
  2. Timesheet row marked with the manager attestation icon.
  3. Select the timesheet row.
  4. Open the drop-down list and select Employee Missed Break.
  5. Dayforce updates the shift with the employee and manager attestation icon ().

After Dayforce marks the timesheet row with the employee and manager attestation icon, you can remove the employee attestation by clicking Remove Missed Break.
