Add Segments in Work > Timesheet

You can record time by adding new segments to the timesheet.

To add segments to your timesheet:

  1. Go to Work > Timesheet and click the add row icon ().
  2. Select a pay code.
  3. Do one of the following, depending on your configuration:
    • In the Hours field, specify each segment’s length by entering the total number of hours.
    • In the Start and End fields, specify the segment’s start and end times. Dayforce automatically populates the segment’s length in the Hours field.
    • Note: Depending on how Dayforce is configured, the Start and End fields might be unavailable.
  4. (Optional) Specify a different location or job assignment and record any projects, dockets, quantities, or comments. If user defined labor metrics are configured for your organization, you can also record specific work details by selecting a labor metric code in the corresponding column.
  5. Click Save.
