In List View, Dayforce shows a list of documents, with a sortable column for each document property:
The following information is shown:
- Icons: The left-most column has an icon that represents the file type (for example, PDF, jpg). For documents that contain personally identifiable information (PII) (that is, their document type is configured with the Is PII checkbox selected), Dayforce has an additional PII icon (
).
- Document Type: The name of the document type.
- File Name: The file name that the user specified when they uploaded the document. You can open documents by clicking the file name link.
- Employee: If the document is associated with an employee (because it either uses the Employee File entity, or it was associated with their record in a workflow), Dayforce shows the employee's name in this column.
- Note: Dayforce shows forms only for completed workflows in Document Explorer. However, you can still view the document via the workflow form, even if the workflow hasn't yet completed.
- Tags: The tags that are assigned to the document.
- File Size: The file size is shown in bytes, kilobytes, or megabytes, depending on the size. For example, files under 1 KB are shown in bytes, while files larger than 1 MB are shown in megabytes.
- Entity: The area in Dayforce that the document is associated with, such as a specific HR policy or task.
- Workflow: If the document was uploaded as part of a workflow, Dayforce shows the name of the workflow in the Workflow column.
- Last Updated: The date and time that the file was last modified.
- Owner: The user name of the person who uploaded the document.
