Comments and tags can help other users find documents in Document Explorer. You can add comments and tags in the bottom section of the screen. Tags are usually one or two words long, and can be used to classify and sort documents. Comments can be longer notes about the documents. When users enter keywords to search for documents, Dayforce includes comments and tags in the search.
In the Comments field, you can enter a comment to be associated with the document. When users perform a search in Document Explorer, Dayforce includes results that have the keywords in these comments. You can also provide additional information about the document in the Comment field.
Tags provide a way to categorize and sort documents. You can add tags to documents by typing part of an existing tag name in the Tags field and then selecting it from the list, or by entering a new tag name and clicking Add Tag:
You can find more information about using comments and tags to find documents in Filter Documents.
