Ensure That Client Properties Are Configured

Dayforce Wallet functionality must be explicitly added to your instance of Dayforce in System Admin > Client Properties, in the Payroll section and in the Dayforce Wallet section.

Important: Only Support Users can perform this task. For assistance, contact Dayforce Support.

The client properties that must be configured in System Admin > Client Properties for your Dayforce environment are described as follows:

  • In the Payroll section:
    • Show On-Demand Pay Disbursed Amount in Earning Statement List: Selected: includes the Disbursed column in the earning statement list (in Profile and employee self-service), so employees can distinguish between the disbursement amount on an on-demand pay (ODP) earning statement and the net pay amount on a regular earning statement. The net pay amount represents the entire net pay for the pay period.
  • In the Dayforce Wallet section:
    • Enable Dayforce Wallet: Sets the country of the organization, which adds functionality to use Dayforce Wallet, including using a Dayforce Wallet Card as a direct deposit method for regular pay.
    • Enable On-Demand Pay: Sets the country of the organization, which adds on-demand pay functionality to Dayforce Wallet functionality. To use on-demand pay functionality, the country must also be selected in the Enable Dayforce Wallet drop-down list.

Country Considerations

  • US organizations can configure their instances to use Dayforce Wallet and the Dayforce Wallet Card as a direct deposit method, independently of On-Demand Pay. Employees can set their Dayforce Wallet Card as a direct deposit method for regular pay, but they cannot make on-demand pay requests. To configure this option, you must select United States of America in the Enable Dayforce Wallet option.
  • Canadian and UK organizations cannot use Dayforce Wallet independently of On-Demand Pay, and must configure their instances to use both Enable Dayforce Wallet and Enable On-Demand Pay.

The following is a screenshot of these options in System Admin > Client Properties:
