Updated Dayforce to fix an issue where the Calculate Long Service Leave Entitlement background job failed with an error. In some cases, the application couldn’t reconcile and calculate dates and times correctly when running the job. The job could fail if the following conditions were met:

  • The job’s scope included employees with termination and rehire dates that fell on consecutive days. In some cases, because of the records’ start and end times, the application incorrectly interpreted the dates as being identical which led to recalculation issues.
  • The job’s scope included employees with multiple status records on the same date.

Additionally, the application failed to identify in the job log the employee data that was causing the issue.

Now, the Calculate Long Service Leave Entitlement job’s calculation logic was updated to account for these scenarios. When the job runs and calculates your employees’ continuous service, the application makes additional evaluations for invalid data. Also, if the job fails in this scenario, the application updates the job log to describe the error.
