Added the ability for payroll administrators to manually update the tax treatment codes for employees with the Senior and Pensioners tax offset. Previously, you encountered an error message when entering Senior and Pensioners tax treatment codes that started with “S”, because these codes weren’t supported in the application. Now, the “S” treatment codes that the ATO allows are included and all treatment codes are reported correctly at STP finalisation, however, note the following:
- Currently the Schedule 9 tax tables are not supported in Dayforce.
- In this release, employees that were approved to receive the Senior and Pensioners tax offset are reported using the tax treatment code in the Payroll > Tax Definitions screen in People, in the Federal Tax Info section. Click the Info icon in the Tax treatment code field to access the validation list.
- You must manually update the tax treatment codes because the codes are not generated automatically based on the employees’ tax definition setting.
- Any changes to the tax definitions may cause Dayforce to regenerate the tax treatment code. You must manually enter the tax treatment code to change it back.
