IDDescription

Fixed an issue that could occur if the amount entered in the Tax Offsets field in the Payroll > Tax Definitions screen in People was greater than the PAYG amount, the system generated a negative PAYG amount. With this fix, if the employee is paid during the main payroll cycle and their tax offset exceeds the PAYG amount, there will be a remaining offset amount. In this case, the remaining amount will not be considered, and no tax will be deducted.

The following occurs for the payroll calculation involving the tax offset:

  1. The tax offset is only used once (by the first off cycle pay run or regular pay run) during the tax calculation within a pay period.
  2. The tax offset is not used by additional check templates or manual checks within a pay run. For example, a regular pay run tax calculation will include the tax offset in the normal check template but the bonus tax calculation in a separate check template will not include the same tax offset.

After the first pay run, any unused tax offset won’t carry over to the next pay run within the period. The PAYG in the next period will be calculated according to the usual calculation method of PAYG, where PAYG is calculated from the sum of the gross of the first and second pay runs minus the PAYG calculated from the first pay run gross amount.

Fixed an issue that could occur when you used the application in English (Australia) where the AUS superannuation fund name was not shown in employee earning statements.
