Filter Approvals

Filters allow you to organize how to view incoming approval requests. If changes to your filter are saved, filter selections continue for the duration of the session.

Default Filter

By default, the app filters approval requests by the following:

  • The approval types that are configured in the main application.
  • Pending and Cancellation Pending status.
  • Date range from two weeks previous, to one year ahead of the current day.
  • Employee isn’t specified.
  • Manager is set to self.

Filter Your Approval Requests

To filter your approval requests:

  1. Tap the Filter button (Filter button - arrow pointing down.) to open the Filter screen.
  2. Make your selection from the following filter options:
    • Approval Type: Approval types include Overtime Banking, Unfilled Shift Bid, Unfilled Shift Trade, Availability and Shift Trade.
    • Status Type: Statuses include Pending, Cancellation Pending, Approved, Denied and Canceled.
    • Date Range: Enter a start and end date by tapping the Start and End fields.
    • Employee Name: Tap to open the keyboard on your device where you can type in an employee name.
    • Manager: Tap to open a drop-down list of managers to choose from.
    • Reset to Default: Tap to reset the filter back to the default options.
  3. (Optional) Tap the Plus Sign icon (Plus Sign button.) to open the screen to specify the fields that you want to show and hide. Make your selection from the following:
    • Location
    • Job
    • Department
    • Pay Group
    • Pay Policy
    • Include New Hires
    • Actionable Only
    • Note: You don’t have the option to hide the Date Range and Manager fields.
  4. Tap the Save icon to save your filter.

Show or Hide Filter Options

To show or hide your filter options:

  1. Tap the Filter button (Filter button - arrow pointing down.) to open the Filter screen.
  2. Tap the More icon (Plus Sign button.) to open the screen to specify the fields that you want to show and hide.
  3. Select from the following options:
    • Location
    • Job
    • Department
    • Pay Group
    • Pay Policy
    • Include New Hires
    • Actionable Only
    • Note: You don’t have the option to hide the Date Range and Manager fields.
  4. Tap the Save icon (Check Mark button.) to save.
