Create a Case

Note: You must submit a case before leaving the screen, or your changes won’t be saved.

To create a case:

  1. On the HR Cases screen, tap Create a Case.
  2. Choose a topic from the drop-down list.
  3. Add a subject. Maximum length is 100 characters.
  4. Enter a description and include as much detail as possible. Maximum length is 4,000 characters.
  5. (Optional) Tap + Add Files to browse locally for a file or image, or take a photo to support your case. You can attach up to 10 files in a batch. Each individual file must be no larger than 2 MB.
  6. Submit your case.

Dayforce takes you to My Cases where you can see your submitted case along with the case details and system assigned case number. In addition, you'll see your question and an automated response message in the activity field. You can add more details to your case if you want. You can also close your case at any time if your question is answered or you no longer need help. If you close your case it's no longer editable and it cannot be reopened.
