The Career Explorer feature helps you find opportunities for your personal and career growth. Your manager also has access to these plans, which makes it easier for them to review your progress and provide guidance to help you complete your goals.
When you access Career Explorer for the first time, you're asked to review your career profile to make sure that it's accurate. Recommendations for career advancement are based on your skills from this profile. Keeping your profile and skills up to date ensures that the opportunities provided are relevant and useful.
The Career Explorer overview screen features four sections:
- What's next. Displays new opportunities, current skills, and self-assessments you might want to update.
- Community insights. Provides an overview of how many peers have completed career plans in the past month, or how many are currently working toward a career change or an advancement opportunity.
- My career plans. Displays any career plans you created in the main application, with an indicator to show your completion percentage. If a plan hasn’t yet been started or is in progress, you can edit its details or add skills and activities to increase your completion percentage. If a plan is in progress or completed, you can also perform a self-assessment to record your related knowledge and skill levels.
- Note: You must create your career plans in the main application before you can manage them in the mobile app. See "Build Plans for Career Opportunities" in the Employee Guide.
- What do you want to explore? Displays opportunities that are available for advancement, career changes, or skill building based on your updated profile, skills, activities, courses, and self-assessments. You can also access any opportunities you have already reviewed.
