You can add and edit time entries for one employee at a time, or add time entries for multiple employees at a time. For example, you can add a meal or break to a shift if an employee forgets to record one, or record a transfer if the employee changes work locations during a shift.
Add a Time Entry
To add a time entry for one or more employees at a time:
- Select an employee from the list, or tap to enable the Mass Actions slider and select multiple employees.
- Tap Edit Timesheet and select the Add Clock Entry option.
- If the employee is already scheduled to work, tap to select the existing shift you want to add the time entry to, or tap Create New Shift to add a time entry outside of a scheduled shift.
- Note: Skip this step if the employee doesn’t have any scheduled shifts, or if you’re adding a time entry for multiple employees at a time.
- Configure the time entry details on the Add Clock Entry screen.
- If you are adding the time entry for multiple employees at a time, tap Next to review the Confirmation screen.
- Tap Save.
Edit a Time Entry
To edit a time entry for one employee at a time:
- On the employee’s Day Summary screen, tap the shift with the time entry that you want to edit.
- On the Shift Details screen, tap Edit.
- On the Edit Shift screen, complete one of the following actions:
- In the Shift Duration section, edit the shift’s start or end time.
- In the Meals and Breaks section, tap an existing item to edit it, or tap Add a Meal or Break to add a new one.
- In the Transfers section, tap an existing transfer to edit it, or tap Add a Transfer to add a new one.
- (Optional) Tap the Authorize Shift slider to authorize or unauthorize the shift.
- Tap Save.
