Use the OpenSesame Integration

If your organization uses OpenSesame, you can configure an integration that connects your OpenSesame course library directly to Dayforce Learning.

Important: When you enable OpenSesame, your access to the default content store is removed. Courses that you previously imported from the default content store remain active, but you can no longer access the store to browse or import new content.

Adding and managing courses from OpenSesame requires you to do the following:

1. Connect Your OpenSesame Account
2. Send Courses from OpenSesame to Dayforce Learning
3. Sync Courses from OpenSesame

Connect Your OpenSesame Account

You need to connect your OpenSesame account to Dayforce Learning before you can begin using the integration.

To connect your account:

1. Go to Dayforce Learning and click the Admin tab.
2. In the side panel, under Integrations, click OpenSesame.
3. Click Get started.
4. Enter your Customer Integration ID (CIID), and then click Confirm.

Send Courses from OpenSesame to Dayforce Learning

To send courses from OpenSesame to Dayforce Learning:

1. Go to Dayforce Learning and click the Admin tab.
2. In the side panel, under Learning, click Courses.
3. Click OpenSesame. The OpenSesame website opens in a new browser tab.
4. Log in using your OpenSesame administrator account.
5. Select the course or list of courses that you want to send, and then click Deliver Course or Deliver Courses.
6. If prompted, select a license type.
7. In the Send to Integration list, select Dayforce as the destination, and then click Deliver Course or Deliver Courses.

Courses that you send to Dayforce are available in the Dayforce Learning course catalog after the next course synchronization, which runs every 24 hours. If you need the course right away, you can run the synchronization manually from the Admin tab in Dayforce Learning. See Sync Courses from OpenSesame.

Sync Courses from OpenSesame

By default, the course synchronization job runs every 24 hours and does the following:

• Adds newly sent OpenSesame courses to Dayforce Learning.
• Archives any courses that were removed in OpenSesame.
• Updates metadata if modified on the OpenSesame side.

If needed, you can also manually run the synchronization job from Dayforce Learning.

To run the synchronization job manually:

1. Go to Dayforce Learning and click the Admin tab.
2. In the side panel, under Integrations, click OpenSesame.
3. Click Sync now.
